Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law

Bankruptcy Court

The Bankruptcy Court is a court of the Superior Court of Justice where a judge or registrar addresses issues arising out of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

Our clients most often interact with Bankruptcy Court in relation to opposed discharges, where the Trustee, or a creditor, is objecting to a discharge, however our Bankruptcy Group regularly appears on a variety of matters, including restructurings, receiverships, winding-ups, secured transactions, fraud and debt survival, and priority disputes.
